The Behavior Analyst creates a treatment plan to teach your child the skills they lack. The behavior technician works directly with your child and implements the plan. The Behavior Analyst then supervises the technician regularly to ensure effective implementation of the treatment plan. As well, the Behavior Analyst will meet with the parent/guardian for parent training.
How Can It Help My Child?
During parent training, a parent will learn why specific behaviors and occur and how to respond to their children. As well parent training will give a parent a better understanding of ABA and the work done with their child. The Behavior Analyst and the parent will continually discuss the parent's goals for their child and the progress of the program. They will learn important skills and strategies that will ensure the generalization of the plan.
